Full vs Signature
Full Detail vs Signature Detail — when is the upgrade worth it?
The $90 jump from Full to Signature adds carpet shampoo, stain treatment, and steam cleaning. Here's when it's worth it.
Side-by-side
The Full Detail ($180) is a reset — vacuum, wipe-down, glass, mats, leather care, fragrance refresh. It takes 2 to 3 hours. The Signature Detail ($240) is everything in the Full plus carpet and upholstery shampoo, hot-water extraction, heavy stain treatment, odor treatment, and steam cleaning. It takes 4 to 5 hours.
Pick Full Detail when
Your vehicle is in good shape and just needs a reset. You detailed it within the last 4 to 6 months. There are no major stains, no smells, no significant pet hair. The seats and carpets look more dusty than dirty.
Pick Signature Detail when
You haven't detailed in a year (or ever). The vehicle has visible carpet or seat stains. There's an odor — pets, food, smoke. Kids ride in it regularly. You're preparing it for sale or end-of-lease. You came out of a Canadian winter.
Cost-per-hour math
Full Detail is roughly $50/hr; Signature is roughly $50/hr. The work is equally priced — Signature is more total time because more is being done. The $90 difference buys carpet extraction (the single biggest visible-result upgrade) plus odor and steam work.
Recommendation
Most central-Alberta vehicles benefit from a Signature once a year and a Full every 4 to 6 months in between. If in doubt, book Signature — the carpet extraction is the difference-maker.
